Our story
L’Aruge began in 1993 with one woman and a simple wish: to clothe her daughters beautifully. Mrs Titilola D’Almeida started sewing for her girls under the name Entiti, and soon friends and neighbours were asking for the same care for their own families. That was the start of our clothing arm.
As the daughters grew up around her sewing table, they brought their own creative skills with them: design, branding, events and gifting. In 2011 the business was registered as L’Aruge Ventures (RC 2178452). The new name came from the Yoruba “Ẹ gbé lá rù gẹ́”, meaning “let’s collaborate and uplift with pride.” It is how we have worked ever since.
The business grew at our clients’ request. Companies and individuals who trusted us with their uniforms and clothing began to ask us to source their gifts, plan their parties and brand their offices. They wanted one partner with the capacity, creativity and commitment to handle it all.
That is L’Aruge today: a one-stop creative hub for apparel, branding, events and gifting, still run with a family’s care for every detail.
